Spring 2026: A New Life

Spring has sprung bringing new life to surface! I am happy to share that my little bundle of joy, my son, was born mid-march. Technically, he was born at the tail-end of winter, making him a Pisces. Though his rising sign is Aries! My husband and I are both Aries, so we can still be the House of Aries. I was itching to know my son's natal chart as soon as possible. It also encouraged me to ask my in-laws about my husband's natal chart. My husband was adopted, and I was unsure if we would ever know his time of birth. Thanks to his parents' thorough record keeping, they found the time! My spouse is a Pisces rising, so that makes sense based on what I have learned about my natal chart so far. (Check out my blog on Pisces). I am looking forward to reviewing how the three of us will relate to each other in the context of astrology.

In addition to the new baby, my spouse and I had just begun to move into our new house...the day before our son's arrival. So we have had our hands full of learning to care for a newborn and putting our new home together. I finally get to nest since we have been prepping for the move for a while. I never really got the chance to put a nursery together until after he was born. I can't wait to create a magical space for my son to grow and thrive in.

One of my favorite things about the new house is the fact that our backyard butts up to a small creek/stream and trees, No more highway barrier wall and traffic noise! We also get to watch a herd of deer (usually 6-12ish) stroll through our backyard pretty frequently. It is so nice to be able to observe nature and hear the birds. I have seen and heard a woodpecker! We also might have a family of foxes nearby.

The trees and land in this small area behind the house seems protected...its own world. There are trees with small openings at the bottom, and I can only imagine that fairies and gnomes run about! I hope to get to know the land better and honor the spirits here.

Another favorite thing about our new home is the chance to create a new office/ritual space. We have an odd size bedroom that has two distinct kind of areas, which is perfect for me. As I begin to organize, everything is falling into place. My office and crafting area and then a larger area for my various spiritual practices will make way to reach my goals for the year.

Magical Goals

I am itching to get back into working with my Tarot and Oracle decks. I initially was going to methodically go through the major arcana this year for the blog. But I am feeling the need to explore with more "Bard of the Card" exercises. So keep an eye out for those! I am excited to choose decks from my new deck shelf! I found it thrifting and instantly fell in love. I almost walked away from it, but it was too perfect. A before and after will be shared on socials eventually.

Continue exploring astrology and the Zodiac through understanding my own natal chart along with those of my spouse and son. When the season comes, I will delve into Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius.

Over the past couple months, I have also acquired some books and a deck related to the Tree of Life. I plan to read and learn more about that system.

"Mundane" Goals

Enjoy all the firsts with my son! I can't wait to show him the world and teach him how it can be a magical place.

Read more books. Not sure when that will happen, but it will happen! I have so many fiction and witchy books I need to read...

Create more opportunity for family time and outings with family and friends. With the new house, we can host more. Tea parties, game nights, movie showings, and play time!

Balance work (yes I am going back to my full time job), family, and continuing Cadence of the Crossroads. I continue to get many ideas of what I would like to share on this platform. I hope someone is enjoying and benefitting from this site.

What are some of your goals for this year?
