So I have been a bit absent from blogging...mainly due to low energy from IVF and crafting in order to cope with the highs and lows of the IVF process. Now I have an abundance of special items that I am planning to share and sell!
My spouse and I have always wanted to start a side business. We both like crafting and creating things that celebrate our interests. He loves technology and has been playing with his 3D printer. I love all things witchy and whimsy.
Over the past couple months, I have started making macrame, as featured in a previous post. I have also gotten back into jewelry making focusing on earrings and necklaces. With the same skills, I have begun to make simple pendulums and bookmarks. In the future, these projects will be a collaboration with my spouse! I will be designing some pendulum boards and bookmarks that will be 3D printed!

This update truly aligns with the season. Yesterday was the Summer Solstice, which was the longest period of daylight of the year. This means that we are now in the second half of the year, which leads to harvesting what we have sown from the goals planted in the beginning of the year. The Summer Solstice represents the height of the sun's power and energy.
The Sun represents joy and creativity, so this height of power often reflects our own journeys. For me that has been the growth and expansion of Cadence of the Crossroads. Now it is time to begin reaping some of the outcomes from this endeavor. I will be selling some of my creations at a local Pride event.
I think attending Pride events and honoring the LGBTQ community is the perfect way to celebrate the Summer Solstice. I am not of this group, but I want to be a supporter in their power and celebrate the amazing people I care about. There is no greater power than the ever evolving creation of ourselves and being who we truly are. I find so much joy in witnessing that. However, I acknowledge it hasn't been an easy road and there is much more to do.
The Summer Solstice is also time to look ahead to the second half of the year and reflect on what still needs to be accomplished. So find some time, in the midst of simply soaking up some sun to journal about what you have accomplished so far this year. Celebrate it! And then reflect on the goals that still need to be accomplished and create plan that will help your harvest season (until Samhain) be a success!
